The Director of the Korea Cultural Centre in Nigeria (KCCN), Kim Changi-ki, has said more Nigerians are falling in love with Korean foods as a result of their nutritional value and taste.

He disclosed this at the weekend in Abuja after the final of the second edition of the Hansik -Korean food- competition. The first edition was held in          2024.

Changi-ki said over 40 teams entered for this year’s edition of the competition, but only 12 made it to the final round.

Ms Xun Jin Lee, the event manager at KCCN, said the event was an improvement on that of last year, adding that the quality and taste of the food were better.

Deborah Olabelurin came first at the end of the competition and pocketed N1 million while also winning a trip to South Korea.

Ruth Olowu took second position while Patience Berepele came third and won N700,000 and N400,000 respectively.
