On November 7th, the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Abuja, hosted the National Day of Korea Reception at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja. The event was attended by diplomats and representatives from cultural institutions across Nigeria. It showcased a vibrant array of performances, including taekwondo, K-pop, and cultural presentations by Shin Yu Jin and Daehan Saram. Prominent Korean brands in Nigeria, such as Samsung, LG, KIA, Hyundai, and Expression, also participated, offering exclusive displays of their products. The Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria held a Ssireum wrestling tournament to mark the Chuseok celebration on 17th September. The participants were invited from various sports clubs in Nigeria including Taekwondo. At the end of the tournament, winners received bags of Korean rice which is a customary gift in Korea for Ssireum wrestling. Photos:
