The purpose of the event, as stated in the press release, was to educate Nigerian chefs about various Korean dishes in preparation for the Hansik Cooking Competition scheduled for the next year.

A total of 17 participants attended the event, where they received a brief presentation about the basics of Korean cooking and the requirements for the upcoming competition. The chefs randomly selected dishes from a menu, and Korean ingredients and spices were provided.

The selected dishes included GungJung Tteokbokki(Royal stir-fried rice cake), Jeon(Korean pancake), Eolkeun kalguksu(Spicy noodle soup), Hotteok(Sweet Korean pancake), and Japchae(Stir-fried glass noodles & vegetables). The participating chefs shared their experiences during the event.
