Nigerians showcase Korean Speaking ability at Korean Speaking Contest
The 4th Korean Speaking contest took place on June
22nd 2017 at the Korean cultural Centre Nigeria studio. The
competition has helped to deepen cultural exchange between Nigeria and South
Korea. It was an awesome event as contestants utilized the opportunity to
express themselves on selected aspects of Korean Culture and general matters.
The competition was declared open by KCCN Director, Mr. Han Sungrae.
It was in 2 categories: Basic Level & Intermediate Level. The contestants were assessed based on quality of content, pronunciation of Korean words, engagement of audience. In the Basic category, Bindir Haleematu Sadiya, Oluwaseyi Aderogba and Victoria Jimoh emerged first, second and third place winning N30,000, N20,000 and N10,000 respectively. Likewise in the Intermediate category, Olivet Chiamaka, Miracle Moses and Franlkin Fache emerged first, second and third place winning N30,000, N20,000 and N10,000 respectively respectively. The winners stand a chance to visit South Korea. The winners also get an invite to 1st Asian Film Festival 2017.
