Photos: 2025 Hansik (Korean Food) Contest Finale
On April 12, the Korean Cultural Center in Nigeria hosted the final round of the 2025 Hansik Contest in Abuja, drawing over 400 attendees and sparking strong local enthusiasm for Korean cuisine.
Twelve finalists, selected through an online preliminary round in March, showcased their culinary talents under the theme of jang-based Korean cooking. Deborah Olabelurin claimed first place with her impressive dishes—Korean-style pork ribs and beef jangjorim .
The event also featured a vibrant lineup of cultural activities, including Korean food tastings, K-pop dance performances, a quiz show, and more, creating a festive atmosphere for all attendees.
The cultural center expressed its commitment to further promoting Korean food and culture in Nigeria through future events and initiatives.
