Tteokbokki dazzles Hangeul students
The Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria Hangeul Instructors Mr. Peter Youn and Miss Jee Meoyun organized a special Korean Culture day for the Hangeul students. It was designed to enable the student to learn and further embrace Korean culture. It took place on March 23, 2017 by 4:30pm at the KCCN Newly Remodeled Exhibition Hall. The theme for the day was Korean Cuisine with emphasis on Tteokbokki. Tteokbokki or stir-fried rice cakes is a popular Korean food made from small-sized garae-tteok called tteokmyeon, Fish cakes, bolied eggs etc. Mrs Blessing Adedapo using a Powerpoint presentation explained how Tteokbokki is made after the which the student went to taste it.
A movie titled: Le Grand Chef- Kimchi war was screened afterwards with over 60 Hangeul students in attendance.
