6th Korea Image Drawing Competition Award Ceremony

The 6th Korea Image Drawing Competition Award Ceremony took place on May 26th 2015 at KCCN studio.It was the grand finale of a competition that started two months ago with a Workshop with Art Teachers in FCT UBEB Schools. The theme for this year was "Nigeria & Korea Socio-cultural Similarities. A total of 40 schools participated out which 17 schools shared the honours. It was sponsored by Daewoo Nigeria Ltd.

This Year,  Bitrus Godwin(JSS Peyi) won the Gold Prize, Owoicho Aisha(JSS Gwarimpa 1), Sumaiya Danladi(JSS Kabusa) & Jeremiah Ogbuoshi(JSS Kabusa) won Silver, six students won bronze to make up the top ten. The next twenty students won Consolation Prizes.

The Director, KCCN, Mr. Kwon Yong-ik delivered the Progress Report of the Competition after which Ambassador Noh Kyu Duk gave the Welcome Speech. There were mind-blowing performances by Rythym n Sax, Idez & Elevatorz. to spice up the occasion. Plaques of Appreciation were given to FCT UBEB officials in recognition of their contributions to the success of the Competition so far.Some of the VIPs present were:

5. Mrs. Uche Onwugbufor - Arts Co-ordinator, FCT Universal Basic Eduaction Board

6. Mr. Abdullahi Muku - Director General, National gallery of Art
