October Korean Culture Day: Celebrating Hangeul
Did you know that Korea's traditional language - Hangul is 572 years old?
Hangul was created under King Sejong during the Chosun Dynasty (1393-1910). In 1446, the first Korean alphabet was proclaimed under the original name Hunmin chong-um, which literally meant "the correct sounds for the instruction of the people. At the monthly Korean Culture Day – October Edition, the audience will get to learn about the history of Hangul. People will get create Korean names for themselves as well as paint Hanji souvenirs.
