2018 World Youth Taekwondo Camp: Register Now!!!

 

World Youth Taekwondo Camp, the annual event co-hosted by Taekwondo Promotion Foundation (TPF) and World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), has been held in/around Muju, Jeonju, and Seoul since 2009. For global youth taekwondo practitioners, this Camp provides high-level taekwondo training such as gyeorugi (sparring), poomsae as well as various cultural exchange programs which helps participants understand Korean traditional culture.

 

Camp Objectives

·         To help the world youth lead a healthy life physically and spiritually, and actualize the Olympic ideal for peace and harmony

·         To provide the world youth with a chance for exchanges in taekwondo and culture, and help them to contribute to the betterment of their communities

·         To educate the world youth on taekwondo spirit

·         To provide the world youth with a motivation for taekwondo training, and promote Taekwondowon among them

·          

Main Programs

·         Tour of Taekwondowon

·         Taekwondo Gyeoruri and Poomsae training with invited taekwondo professionals (by groups)

·         Special lectures on OVEP (Olympic Values Education Program), anti-doping, and didactic narrative from former Olympic medalists

·         Cultural exchanges among participants by playing each nation's traditional folklore performance

·         Experience Korean traditional culture at Jeonju Hanok Village, Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, National Museum of Korea, and Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters)

·         Gyeokpa (Breaking) event to abolish one's bad habit

 

 

·          Participants are responsible for their airfare as Taekwondo Promotion Foundation will support each participant  (4 Students) with $280 each.

 

·         Limited slots available (4 Students)

Age Range

13 – 19 years of age 


Participants Benefits

During Camp accommodation, meals, transportation will be provided


Application Period

March 15th - April 13th, 2018


Camp Period

July 27 ~ August 2, 2018 (seven days)


Conditions

       1. Must be fluent in English language.

       2. Open to citizens of other countries.


Camp Locations

Seoul and Muju, Republic of Korea

 At the end of the camp, each participant will receive a Taekwondo Dobok and other souvenirs.
