Can love bridge the divide between history and heritage?

When Si-woo decides to marry Yuko, his Japanese sweetheart, he faces his greatest obstacle yet: his grandfather, Yong-bok, a man whose life is devoted to protecting Dokdo and whose painful family past shapes his distrust of Japan. Hoping to win his grandfather’s acceptance, Si-woo takes Yuko on a voyage to Dokdo. What unfolds is a moving encounter between generations, where romance meets historical memory and the possibility of understanding emerges across deeply held differences.
