The Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria, Embassy of the Republic of Korea is recruiting to fill the following short-term contract position:
A. Position Title:
⚪ Events/Administrative assistant (1 person)
B. Qualifications
- Must be legally able to work in Nigeria (must not have any criminal record or the appointment will be terminated)
- Fluency in English (Korean is an added advantage)
- Experience in public or related institutions or degree in related field is preferred
- Must possess excellent Communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and multi-tasking
- Ability to manage all aspects of event planning, meet strict deadlines, etc
- High level of interpersonal and customer relation skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Proficient in the use of MS word, excel & powerpoint
C. Job Description/Responsibilities
- Support the planning, organizing & execution of cultural exchange related programmes/events and knowledgeable of the state of affairs of Government between Nigeria and South Korea.
- Support the planning and facilitation of logistics for all events, including vendor contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, marketing materials etc as required by each KCCN event
- Coordinate with internal staff/managers, clients, and vendors to establish the requirements for an event, and serve as liaison to senior executives, government officials, and industry leaders throughout the planning process of all KCCN events.
- May be required to commute to and work from the Korea Corner – University of Abuja
- Make and manage documents for the Korean Cultural Center
- Support other cultural programs and key tasks as needed
D. Work Terms
- Start Date: May 2026(Tentative)
- Contract Period: 1st May – 31st December 2026
- Monthly Salary: $400
- Work Hours: Mon-Thu 8:00 to 16:30/Fri 8:00 to 13:00
- Location: Abuja, Nigeria (Kindly note that the interview for this position will be held in-person, there will be no provision for online interview)
