Kimchi Week 2025 is the Korean Cultural Centre in Nigeria’s annual celebration of Korea’s most iconic dish, Kimchi. This year’s edition highlights the taste, creativity, and cultural significance of Kimchi while promoting Korea–Nigeria cultural exchange through food with the Theme, #Kimchi360
What is Kimchi?
Kimchi is a traditional Korean fermented dish made with vegetables such as napa cabbage, radish, cucumber, and mustard leaves, seasoned with chili flakes, garlic, ginger, and spices. Known for its bold flavor and health benefits, Kimchi is a key symbol of Korean heritage.
What to Expect at Kimchi Week 2025!
· Kimchi Workshops: A Hands-on session to learn how to make popular variety of Kimchi - Baechu Kimchi.
· Authentic Kimchi Tasting: Taste authentic varieties of Kimchi and pair with rice and noodles.
· Cultural Exhibitions: Visual display that explores the tradition of Kimjang and the story of Kimchi in Korean culture.
Purpose
To celebrate Korean food culture, strengthen Korea–Nigeria cultural exchange, and introduce visitors to the diversity and artistry of Kimchi.
