Title: Dance Speaks (  춤이 말하다  )/ 83 mins

<Dance Speaks> is a lecture-performance featuring dancers from various fields, including Korean traditional dance, modern dance, ballet, and street dance, who reflect on contemporary dance through dance and narrative. It focuses on and illuminates the specific bodies of dancers. While dancers' bodies embody the illusion of beauty on stage, in reality, as professionals who use their bodies, they are often injured or deformed. In the performance, the dancers tell autobiographical stories about their bodies, and through their own experiences with health, injury, and other bodily functions, they critique the illusions surrounding dance and unfold their dedication to dance on stage.

“Cross-Cut” focuses on a dancer’s body, which is a medium that realizes the ideal of beauty onstage but, in reality, is also a tool for a vocation prone to injuries or deformities. Dancers tell autobiographical stories of their bodies, critique the ideal surrounding dance using their experiences of health, injury, and body, and unfold the dedication that propels them to dance onstage.
