2025 K-pop Festival - Singing Competition
The Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria is pleased to announce that entry submission for the 2025 K-pop Festival Singing Competition is now open.

Competition Schedule:
Preliminary Round: 5th – 25th May 2025
Finalists’ Announcement: 2nd June [Via email only]
Grand Finale: Saturday, 14th June 2025
Venue: Abuja
Judging Criteria:
Vocal Ability - 30%
Lyrics Accuracy/Expression - 40%
Stage Charisma - 30%
Prizes:
Prizes will be announced later
(Note that the winning work of the first prize winner will be sent to Korea for a chance to participate in the 2025 K-Pop World Festival in Changwon)
HOW TO ENTER THE 2025 K-POP SINGING CONTEST
What to submit: Section 1 [The Videos]
Please read the guidelines below carefully before submitting your entry.
Each participant must submit two (2) videos:
1.A full performance of a Korean song of your choice.
2.An introduction video of yourself.
Submission Guidelines
●Video Upload:
Upload both videos to Google Drive and submit the shared link via the submission form (see link at the end of this post).
- Make sure the Google Drive link is set to public/viewable.
- If selected for the finale, you must perform the same song on June 14, 2025.●Performance Video:
Perform a Korean song in full. This can include K-pop or Korean drama OSTs. If you participated in the competition last year and would like to compete again, please select a different song from the one you used previously.●Introduction Video Requirements: (Please make sure to include English subtitles in your introduction video)
In your video, please clearly state:○Your name and occupation
○Your motivation for joining the competition
○The name of your favorite Korean singer and why
○The song you’ve chosen and your reason for choosing it
○A short message to the judges
○End the video by saying:
“2025 K-POP World Festival in Changwon, GO FOR IT!”
What to submit: Section 2 [Files for the Finale]
This section requires the submission of files that will be used if you make it to the finale
· Submit an accurate audio file of your performance song
· Submit 2 photos of you or your team. 1 landscape and 1 portrait sized photo [please ensure that it is a photo with good quality]
· Submit soft copies of any valid ID cards of all your team members [International Passports, National ID Card, Driver's license or Voters card] this will be used for payment processing.
· Submit a two line introduction of your team. (Your submission will be used to introduce your performance by the MC during the final competition)
Team Participation:
If singing as a group, teams must consist of no more than 3 members.
Category Restrictions:
You may only participate in one category — either singing or dance, not both.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Passport Requirement
Due to past issues where winners were unable to travel to Korea because they didn’t have valid passports, it is now mandatory that all participants possess a valid international passport to be eligible for the final round.
●If you do not yet have a passport, you may still apply only if you are confident you will obtain one before June 14, 2025.
●However, please note that during finalist selection, preference will be given to participants who already hold a valid passport.
●Having a passport is not the only requirement — singing performance will remain the primary judging criterion.
Attendance & Travel Support
●Only apply if you (or your team) are able to attend the grand finale in Abuja if shortlisted.
●KCCN will provide a modest transport allowance for finalists traveling from outside Abuja. (Terms & conditions apply.)
