On November 19th, KCC Nigeria hosted a Hangeul Calligraphy Writing Event at the Korea Corner, University of Abuja. Students learned from a native Korean calligraphy instructor who guided them in writing their names in Hangeul, introducing them to the beauty and structure of the Korean writing system. Participants also enjoyed trying on traditional hanboks and decorating Korean hand fans, gaining hands-on exposure to various elements of Korean culture. The event provided a meaningful platform for creativity, cultural appreciation, and cross-cultural interaction.
Then on November 26th, the Korea Corner came alive again as KCCN held a Korean Traditional Games Day, featuring Tuho, Jegi Chagi, and Gonggi Nori. From throwing and kicking challenges to fun coordination games, everyone had an amazing time — and trying on beautiful hanboks made the experience even more memorable.
Together, both events offered students an engaging journey into Korean culture through language, art, and traditional play.
