National Folk Museum expands its cybermuseums

The National Folk Museum's online resources introduce artifacts and articles related to the history of the nation's folk traditions.
Established in 1946, the National Folk Museum of Korea is an archive of the daily life and habits of Korea and the Korean people, covering all types of traditional rites, rituals, ceremonies, meals and even articles of clothing, and it's visited by more than 2 million people every year. It provides educational and cultural opportunities so that visitors can better understand and experience traditional Korean lifestyles and behavior.
The museum has been working hard to build a creative cultural space that promotes mutual communication and understanding with the world. To this aim, it has been running a range of exhibits and has made available almost its entire collection online, and runs a series of specialized online folklore encyclopedias.
