The Korean Cultural Center Nigeria (Director: Jeon Ju-ho) held the graduation ceremony for its 2025 Taekwondo Summer Semester on August 27 and 28 at the Center’s Taekwondo Hall.
A total of 66 students participated in this semester’s program, showcasing the skills they had honed throughout the term and celebrating their progress with family and friends.
The program extended beyond martial arts training, offering children and youth the opportunity to cultivate teamwork, self-control, and confidence through Taekwondo. Parents and members of the community attended the ceremony, adding to the celebratory atmosphere as they applauded the students’ achievements.
One parent remarked, “It was gratifying to see the children not only learn Taekwondo techniques but also develop cooperation and confidence.” A graduating student added, “Although the training was challenging at times, I am proud to have completed it and eager to continue learning Taekwondo.”
Throughout the semester, students systematically learned the fundamentals of Taekwondo—including basic movements, poomsae, and etiquette—while achieving both physical and mental growth. The Center emphasized that it will continue to expand cultural exchange programs such as Taekwondo, enabling local youth and residents to experience a sense of achievement and pride through Korean culture.
