Celebrate the Lunar New Year (Seollal) with Us at KCCN

Seollal is a traditional holiday to pay respect to ancestors, but it has also become a way of keeping families together. As families drift apart due to work, school, marriage and other obligations, Seollal has become a reason for families to come back together. The people of South Korea often get time off to celebrate the Three-day holiday. During this time, people will spend happy moments with their relatives while they rest for the New Year. Gifts are exchanged, ancestral rites are observed. After which traditional games such as Yutnori and Yeon-naligi are played. In Nigeria, KCCN will re-enact and celebrate this traditional holiday in Abuja by playing games like Yutnori and Jegichagi, giving out gifts to young and old after the greeting the elders. Korean traditional foods will be served as well. It will take place as:
