창작 아티스트 '오늘'과 함께하는 국악 워크숍 개최
On 8th November, the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria held a Korean traditional music workshop for 35 Nigerian high school students from public schools in Abuja at the Korean Cultural Centre’s Studio.
The students were taught by ‘’Creative Artists ONEUL’’ a four-member Korean traditional music team from Korea who had also performed on 7th November at National Day reception.
The workshop began with a presentation about the various Korean traditional percussion, wind, and string instruments like Gayageum, Janggu, Piri, Haegeum, Daegeum, Geomungo etc. This was closely followed by several exciting and intriguing music performances by the ONEUL team giving the students a thrilling feel of Korean traditional music as they sang along and enjoyed every beat & rhythm.
At the end of the workshop, the students received Korean traditional pouches called ''Bok'' usually used as ornaments for Hanbok from members of the ONEUL music team. The ''Bok'' pouch is said to mean lucky or Good luck.
